Ty explains the three generations of blowing engines in the Blowing Engine House.

The line of early blowing engines (ca1900s).  Each engine had a steam cylinder at the bottom and an air cylinder at the top.

In the extensions of the Blowing Engine House, two types of centrifugal compressors were installed to replace the earlier blowing engines.

The first type of centrifugal compressor was installed in 1948.
