    AWARDS BANQUET and

    PRESIDENTIAL LUNCHEON

    At the Awards Banquet (Above, left) Beverly Orr Rich receives the Rodman Paul Award from Duane Smith, Karen Vendl, and Johnny Johnsson.  Under Beverly’s leadership, the San Juan County (Colorado) Historical Society has preserved many historical mining structures in the Southwestern Colorado mining districts.

    (Above, right) Bob Spude receives the John Townley Award for his paper “Men of Scope: The Assayer and the Western Mining Community, 1848-1920.”  Eric Clements, Editor, The Mining History Journal, made the presentation.

     

    (Right) At the Presidential Luncheon, outgoing MHA President, Roger Burt, passes the Ceremonial Rock Pick to Ed Raines, 2014-15 MHA President.

      

    (Below) A good time was had by all at the Awards Banquet and Presidential Luncheon!
