The Gunnison Pioneer Museum portrays the history of the region and its extensive ranching, farming, mining, and transportation operations and its people.

Museum visitors are greeted by the Denver, Rio Grande and Western railroad display which includes several pieces of rolling stock. Car buffs were impressed by the antique auto exhibits. See those in Gallery 4.

Both indoor and outdoor displays include mining artifacts of many types.

Mineral collections contain specimens from many metallic and non-metallic mines throughout the state.  See more specimens in Gallery 3.
