mining and processing features as we drove between the Burgin and Trixie
Mine sites.

an opportunity to explore the surface facilities of the Burgin Mine.It opened in the 1960s by Kennecott and closed in 1980.Mining at Burgin was continuously plagued by inflows of water.After the mine closed, the Burgin and Trixie Mines were leased
for exploration and limited production by several other companies. The
Burgin headframe is in the background.

The hoist operator uses the large dials to exactly position the cage or
ore skip at the appropriate level of the mine.

(Right and Below) Our Osisko hosts displayed historic photos and mining
documents pertaining to history of mining in the East Tintic District.
An array of tasty snacks was welcomed by the MHAers after their tour of
the Tintic Project.
We had a chance to learn about mining in the East Tintic District from
experienced miners.
Looks like Peter is sizing up the drill logs and assay reports.
Are these folks thinking about how they are going to pay for their
airline tickets
to the Park City MHA Conference or perhaps the 2025 Conference in
Gunnison, CO?
With sincere thanks we bid our Osisco hosts farewell as the
